How poker equity is calculated
Poker equity is the percentage of the pot a hand or range expects to win after accounting for ties. Pokerscope estimates equity by evaluating possible remaining cards and valid hand combinations from the information entered above.
Adding more known cards narrows the possible outcomes. A preflop result considers every street still to come, while a turn result only needs to account for possible river cards. Blockers remove unavailable combinations from ranges.
NLHE and PLO equity
In Texas Hold’em, each player makes the best five-card hand from two hole cards and the board. In Pot-Limit Omaha, each player must use exactly two hole cards and exactly three community cards.
Select the correct game before entering hands because PLO’s four-card holdings and construction rules produce substantially different equities from NLHE.
